LDC5 – Spoofed EP (2005)

“Elbow of termites bending for me
Elbow of termites bending for thee”.

We’d both been under the influence (i.e. copying) Robyn Hitchcock for some time now, so thought… why not go the whole hog and do songs which were as Hitchcock as possible? So for this years challenge we did just that – two new songs each. I think I wrote ‘Song Of The Woodlice’ around this time too. The title and sleeve were both ripped off from Hitchcock’s ‘Spooked’ album. Gareth wrote ‘World Of Masks’ and ‘The Vacuum Tubes’ – both great songs.
