I consider this my debut proper. In 2002 I took what I considered to be the best songs I’d written and recorded them to the best of my abilities, with some help from friends Peter Campbell and Jem Burton. It probably took me about a year to make and then at the last minute I lost quite a few of the finished recordings. Oops. That’s why things like ‘The Carrion Herd’ sound a bit, erm ’empty’. I couldn’t face doing it again. Anyway, it turned out pretty well I think. This was the first time I got a release into shops, and it was the first time I got reviews – mainly good, apart from Whisperin’ and Hollerin’ who said I sounded like cats drowning in a bin bag.
